High flexible tyre coupling
The Flex coupling is a highly flexible, torsional backlash-free tyre coupling with flanges made of steel or grey cast iron and a rubber tyre.
This elastic tyre with cord insert is the heart of the highly flexible elastomer coupling. It transmits the torque backlash-free and can compensate for large axial, radial and angular shaft misalignments. At the same time, it is wear-resistant and requires little maintenance.
The shaft coupling can be used with standard elastomer tyres made of natural rubber or with tyres made of chloroprene rubber.
The chloroprene rubber tyre has the FRAS "Fire Resistant and AntiStatic" marking and is suitable for use in selected hazardous areas (ATEX).
The Flex coupling is available in two different versions. The coupling flanges type B are standard for cylindrical finish bores with keyway and set screw, which we insert according to customer specifications. In addition, special bores or profile splines are also possible on request.
The coupling flanges type F and H are prepared for the installation of commercially available taper bushes.
The taper bush system offers a simple, cost-effective and flexible variant of the shaft-hub connection. Due to the internationally standardised sizes of the taper bushings, changes in the bore diameters can be implemented easily and quickly from stock.

The areas of application of the Flex compensating coupling can be found in the entire general machine and plant construction, such as pumps and compressors, conveyor systems, gearboxes, etc., as well as in construction machinery, in the mining and paper machine industry, as well as in shipbuilding and plant construction.
