Cap bearings DIN 505L / 506 A
The top bearings according to DIN 505 L and DIN 506 A are split, robust, grease-lubricated plain bearings with a housing made of high-quality grey cast iron.
The pedestal bearings according to DIN 505 L are designed for small to medium loads and are intended for 2-hole mounting in the base.
The pillow block bearings according to DIN 506 A, on the other hand, have a very high load capacity with a 4-hole mounting.
The split bearings each consist of an upper and lower part screwed together, in which split plain bearing shells made of gunmetal (RG7) are also enclosed.
Depending on the operating conditions, the cover bearings can be used up to sliding speeds of approx. 1.5 m/s.
The lubrications for plain bearings withstand different temperature ranges. Commercially available greases can be used at temperatures of the plain bearing up to approx. 110°C.
Advantages
Extensive standard range
Good friction values
Resistant to shocks and impacts
Insensitive to dirt and dust
Absorption of high loads
Easy to mount
Long service life
Special designs, e.g. with bearing shells made of other gunmetal materials, with special bores, with special lubrication grooves or housings made of other cast materials are available on request.
Application areas
Plain bearings according to DIN 505 L and DIN 506 A are suitable for many applications, e.g. in the wood and steel industry, in chemical plants and in the food industry. Furthermore, in all general mechanical engineering.
